So I bought a bowtie and cummerbund…. From vineyard vines… Please let me explain. I ran an 8k this morning. I finished first in my age category. The race was also holding a silent auction to benefit the South Carolina Maritime Foundation- the people who own/sail SPIRIT OF SOUTH CAROLINA and race pilot gigs and other cool stuff. So basically, I got a steal on this tie, cummerbund, a straw hat, and a nice 8.5x11 print of SPIRIT OF SOUTH CAROLINA. And at least theoretically, my money went to keep the ship sailing and the foundation afloat. (Pun obviously intended) I mean anyways, it’s not a preppy palmetto bow tie… It’s a preppy palmetto bow tie with South Carolina’s tallship proudly emblazoned on it. (The hat also has a cool band with SPIRIT OF SOUTH CAROLINA portrayed around it.)
